Overview

LessonsForge is a course production studio produced by Develastic. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

We do not use tracking cookies on the public website. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party behavioral advertising on the public site.

Information we collect

The exact data collected depends on whether you only visit the public website or sign in to the application.

  • Public website visits: standard server logs may include IP address, request path, user agent, referrer, timestamp, and security diagnostics.
  • Google sign-in data: when you sign in, we receive the identity information Google provides for authentication, such as email address, account identifier, name, and profile image if available.
  • Account and profile data: information you provide in the application, such as display name, author profile, preferences, and administrative settings where applicable.
  • Course and project content: prompts, outlines, lesson materials, markdown documents, knowledge-base files, generated text, generated images, translations, exports, and related project metadata.
  • Usage and billing records: job status, AI request metadata, token/cost accounting, credit ledger entries, errors, timestamps, and operational audit events.
  • Communications: messages you send to us, including support and early-access inquiries.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use tracking cookies. The public website is designed to work without analytics or advertising cookies.

Signed-in application areas may use strictly necessary cookies, such as a secure session cookie, to keep you logged in and protect the service. These cookies are not used for behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking.

The application may use local storage or similar browser storage for product preferences, draft UI state, or performance of the user interface, but not for third-party tracking.

How we use information

  • Provide, secure, and operate the service.
  • Authenticate users and manage sessions.
  • Create, edit, translate, generate, and export course materials at your direction.
  • Run AI, rendering, export, image, and validation jobs.
  • Track usage, credits, billing, reliability, and abuse prevention.
  • Respond to support, legal, and operational requests.
  • Improve product quality, safety, and performance without selling personal information.

AI processing

LessonsForge may send the content needed for a requested AI operation to AI providers or internal AI gateway services. This can include prompts, project context, lesson materials, knowledge-base excerpts, and generated outputs.

We limit AI processing to what is needed to provide the requested feature, record operational metadata for billing and troubleshooting, and apply safety and quality controls around generated content.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or with your direction.

  • Infrastructure providers that host the website, application, storage, databases, logs, or network services.
  • Authentication providers, including Google, for sign-in.
  • AI providers and model gateways when you request AI-powered features.
  • Payment or billing providers if paid features are enabled.
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or counterparties when required for legal, security, compliance, or business-continuity reasons.

Data retention

We keep account, project, billing, and operational data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain auditability.

You may request deletion of account or project data. Some records may remain where retention is required for security, billing, fraud prevention, backup integrity, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for the service, including access controls, isolated worker processes for higher-risk operations, logging, and secure session handling. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

To make a privacy request, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.

Children

LessonsForge is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required by applicable law. Do not use the service for children’s personal data unless you have the legal authority and consents required to do so.

International processing

We may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The effective date above shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated through the website, application, or another reasonable method.
